As a primarily mobile service, in most cases we can service your vehicle at a location of your choice. However, if your project is time or labor intensive, or you need us to repair or diagnose your vehicle at our location, please contact us before transporting your vehicle to our shop.
Most auto parts stores offer a "free diagnostic", however, the tools that they use often only retrieve "trouble codes" from certain parts of your vehicle. These trouble codes only offer general information as to what may be wrong with your vehicle.
The parts store may also offer a print-out of possible repairs, but none of these are guaranteed to actually fix your vehicle, in fact, sometime the actual fix is not even on the list. Working from the list, it may take several attempts and multiple different parts to try to get it right, which increases the cost and time involved with the repair.
The diagnostic that we perform is more in-depth, as we take the trouble codes, along with additional data from the vehicle, and follow the dealer's troubleshooting procedure or procedures we have developed on our own to find the right fix, without the guesswork.
While in some cases a used computer or module may work in a vehicle, it is not recommended for multiple reasons. Many vehicle manufacturers are equipping automotive computers and modules with software that prevents certain functions or reprogramming when installing a used computer or module in another vehicle, and in some cases it wont work at all. Additionally, the condition of the used computer or module is often unknown and cannot be guaranteed to be compatible or properly functional. We always recommend installing new or remanufactured computers or modules from a trusted source.
We can perform certain minor mechanical repairs, however, as a primarily mobile service, we cannot offer full mechanical repair services or oil changes. We prefer to limit our services to electrical systems diagnosis and repair, and automotive computer or module programming.
Yes, we offer a warranty on all of our repairs. Typically our repairs are covered by our 90-day/3000 mile limited warranty. The length of the warranty may vary depending on the type of repair and other factors. Contact us for more details.
